Fall 1957: Dakota Wesleyan art program then returned home to help on family farm
Nov 1959-May 1961: Southern State Teachers College automotive technology degree
Sept 1960: married Myrna Schelske; later divorced
June 1961-May 1964: Southern State Teachers College industrial tech/vocational education degree
Aug 1964-May 1967: taught Ind Tech at Jefferson Public Schools, SD
Aug 1967-May 1991: taught Vocational Metalworking and Autobody Repair at Plattsmouth Community Schools, Nebraska
June 12, 1983: married Mary Vogel (like retirement, marriage has been better the second time around)
Aug 1991-May 2004: taught Ind Tech at Johnson-Brock Public School, Johnson, Nebraska
May 2004: retired (didn't like retirement)
Aug 2005-May 2007: taught Ind Tech and Electric Vehicle Tech at Johnson-Brock Public School, Johnson, Nebraska
May 2007: retired AGAIN! (better this time) |

I have good memories of Reliance High School and the friends from the area. There is no real outstanding single school memory. |
| How often do you get back to Reliance? |
|
I go back to visit my brothers and their families about three times a year.
|
| Where is your favorite vacation spot? |
|
We've been to Las Vegas, Cancun and the Bahamas. We've also visited our younger son and his family wherever they are (he is in the air force): Illinois, Rapid City, Wichita, KS, Wichita Falls, TX, Columbus, MS, numerous trips to Washington, DC and the Pentagon.

| What do you do in your spare time? |
|
I keep busy with family, automotive work, woodworking, and carpentry. I also do consulting for the Johnson-Brock Electric Vehicle program and substitute teach Industrial Tech.
