Birthday:    July 27, 1939

What have you been doing since leaving Reliance High:    Immediately following graduation (June, 1957), I moved to a suburb of Dallas,Texas with Jack & Agnes McGoy. Jack was the foreman on the construction of the TV tower built on Medicine Butte near Reliance. We met while all of us were residing in apartments/sleeping rooms @ Babe & Irene Cullen's basement in Chamberlain. I eventually moved to New Mexico to be with Mama in 1958, & worked as a waitress while attending San Juan Jr College. I went to work for the Farmington Police Department as the secretary to the Detective Division. I met my husband in Farmington. We married in 1960 while he was stationed @a Nike Hercules Missal base in Gary, Indiana and had a great life in the military. We moved to Oklahoma after he was discharged in 1962 & I have called this 'home' since. We traveled most of 'the lower 48' while he worked as a welder on cross country natural gas pipelines for several years. We divorced in 1977, but are good friends.

I entered the Real Estate world in 1969. In '72, I managed a 244 unit apartment complex catering to Federal Aviation Administration students attending the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Academy in OKC. for 18 years. Our complex was set up like a 'long stay residential hotel' situation. I made many friends from many places around the world & had the opportunity to visit many of them. I love the experience of travel, and have had the good fortune of travelling to many Islands, most of Europe, and Asia. In 1988 I moved to the Island of Guam. (later learned Larry Huntsman taught school there in the '60's) who knew, two people from Reliance high would reside on a tiny Micronesian island in the middle of the Pacific..... Turned out to be a wrong personal choice, however I loved the island life and stayed eleven years. I was General Manager for Six D Enterprises, Inc. which included over 400 apartments & condominiums, commercial buildings, and three movie theaters. I would probably still be there if it weren't for the birth of my grand daughters. After Vicki & her family visited me on Guam, Christmas 1998, I contacted my old boss in January '99, for a job on the Mainland. I told him I had property to sell, needed to get my 'ducks in a row', and would be ready to relocate towards the end of the year. Long story short, I was in Tiburon, California three weeks later as General Manager to a hotel he had there (The Lodge At Tiburon).......I balked, but went & stayed five years. Tiburon is only a twenty minute ferry ride across the bay from San Francisco, and is absolutely beautiful, 'but it was not home' I worked hard and made a deal for my boss to build my retirement home on my daughter & son in law's land mortgage free. He sold the Lodge & I retired back to Oklahoma in 2004. I'm happy to be back home....I am in good health, take no medication & am a grateful, happy old gal.

School Story:    Don't really have a story. I loved Florence Anderson, Louie Cullen & Darrel Cadwell. I remember Glenice Fenenga fondly in the 7th & 8th grades. Every morning, saluting the flag, and tapping our fingers on our desks to the tune of 'Anchors Aweigh', or other Military Songs. I remember having to stand in front of the class every Monday morning to recite a 'current event' from a newspaper, and those 'God Awful Oral Book Reports'! I remember every afternoon after school going to Hank & Eldelain's market for a bottle of pepsi & a bag of planter's peanuts...pour the peanuts into the bottle.....what a treat! remember that? I loved Reliance High, & my relationships with classmates, upper & lower. I concentrate only on fond memories growing up in Reliance.

How often do you get back to Reliance?    Every year or two. Went for the centennial in '05 with my sister pegge. We stayed with barbara & edwin, then on to farmington, NM to see mama & sandy. Mama & pegge have both passed over since then. Barbara's daughter sindi (who relocated to Oklahoma in september) & I made an impromptu trip this past Thanksgiving.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?    Any tropical island...I love the sun, sand & seas.

States you've lived in?    Well, that will be numerous since my ex-husband was a 'pipeline welder'.....I'll get out the atlas..
(most apply to the pipeline days)Arizona,California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas,Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma,South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

What do you do in your spare time?    All my time is 'spare time'. Trying to learn to blog. I spend hours in the internet. I babysit my three year old grand daughter three or four days a week, and attend a lot of soccer games....& stay in touch with a few old friends.
